How the answer is made
The quiz picks a random item whose average price is between $0.25 and $22,000. The answer is the plain average of that item’s marketplace prices in our price data, rounded to cents. Missing or zero prices are left out. Every marketplace counts equally: trading volume and the cheapest listing do not change the answer.
Example: prices of $10, $14 and $18 give a $14 average. A missing fourth price is skipped, not counted as zero. The three other options are generated decoys, not marketplace listings. The answer stays fixed for the round even if a marketplace price changes while you choose.
Read the item variant and score
Check the full market name under the item name, including wear and quality. The quiz prices the market name only: float, pattern and applied stickers are not part of the answer.
Only your first choice is scored. Correct adds one to correct answers and the current streak; wrong adds an answered attempt and resets the current streak. Best streak and correct/answered totals remain across Next skin rounds in this session. They reset when the page is reloaded or the component is left. There is no public leaderboard or saved account history on this page.
Use a wrong answer to make one comparison
After a miss, open the price table for the same variant and see which marketplaces list it. Compare the spread with the average instead of memorizing one fixed price. Sale fees, withdrawal costs and Steam Wallet versus cash change the amount you actually receive when you sell.
