Only four knives can do it
A true Fire & Ice — red on one side, blue on the tip — can only form on the Karambit, Bayonet, Flip Knife and Gut Knife. They share the same paint-seed ranking, with seed 412 as the perfect "1st Max".

The community Fire & Ice tier lists for Marble Fade knives. A true Fire & Ice only forms on the Karambit, Bayonet, Flip and Gut Knife — seed 412 is the perfect "1st Max" — while the M9 Bayonet chases its own Max Red Tip. Check any seed against the tiers.
Seed 412 is the "1st Max" — maximum red on the play side with a clean blue tip and zero yellow, the rarest and most valuable Fire & Ice knife in CS2.

The M9 Bayonet cannot make a true Fire & Ice, so collectors chase its own grade instead — Max Red Tip, the seeds with the most red on the tip before the pattern turns orange. Seed 41 leads it.
Fire & Ice premiums are huge and screenshots flatter the pattern. Always read the exact paint seed from an inspect link and match it to the tier here before paying up — the wrong seed is just a normal Marble Fade.
Seed 412 is the "1st Max" — the perfect Fire & Ice with maximum red and a clean blue tip. It is the #1 across the four knives that can produce the pattern (Karambit, Bayonet, Flip, Gut) and commands the highest premium by far.
Only the Karambit, Bayonet, Flip Knife and Gut Knife can form a true Fire & Ice. The M9 Bayonet has its own "Max Red Tip" grade instead, and other knives cannot produce it at all.
Dramatically — a top-tier Fire & Ice can be worth many times a plain Marble Fade of the same knife. Value drops steeply as the seed falls down the tiers toward "fake" Fire & Ice.
Open the item’s in-game inspect link to read its paint seed, then look it up here for that exact knife. Never trust a seller’s screenshot — angle and lighting exaggerate the red and blue.
